Freedom House is a welcoming recovery home for men committed to sobriety, fellowship, accountability and building a meaningful life.
Learn About Freedom HouseFreedom House offers a safe, comfortable and supportive environment where men can strengthen their recovery while becoming part of a household and community.
We share meals, hold potlucks, spend time together and each contribute to making the house respectful, welcoming and well cared for. Residents have privacy and independence, along with the fellowship and accountability that help recovery grow.
Residents are expected to participate actively in a 12-step program, attend meetings, have a sponsor and belong to a home group.
Potlucks, shared meals, conversation and participation help make Freedom House a home rather than simply a place to rent a room.
Everyone contributes to a safe, sober and respectful environment and takes part in the everyday care of the home.
Residents have a furnished private bedroom and access to welcoming shared spaces.
The home includes a full kitchen, comfortable living areas, a large dining table, exercise equipment, a mature backyard, outdoor seating and barbecue areas. The setting is designed to support both independence and connection.
Warm, lived-in spaces for everyday life, fellowship and recovery.
“Recovery is about more than staying sober. It is about rebuilding a meaningful life through connection, responsibility, fellowship and service.”
David has been active in 12-step recovery since 1980.
Over more than four decades, recovery has given him a life built around family, friendship, spiritual growth, service and helping others find their own path forward.
Freedom House grew from a simple belief: men beginning a new life in recovery deserve more than a bed. They deserve a safe and welcoming home, clear expectations, fellowship and people who believe lasting recovery is possible.
Bob and Doocy are the Freedom House dogs and bring a lot of warmth, companionship and personality to the home.
Residents are welcome to walk them, spend time with them and share in their everyday care. Like everything at Freedom House, looking after the dogs is part of participating in a shared home.
